A New Passion
Creative Director Turned Photographer
Hello! I’m Rebecca Retzer, my friends call me Bec. I’m the owner, designer, and photographer – the face of LaTour Design. I started LD in 2008 as a part-time freelance business while I was deep in my career as a graphic designer and creative director. I’m proud to say that just this year in January, I opened up a brand new studio in downtown Delafield, Lake Country area. LaTour Design is now officially operating as a boutique business! And so, a new journey begins and I cannot wait to see where it takes me.
While I loved my career as a creative director, my passion for portrait photography is what led me to become an entrepreneur and open up a studio. I found out that photography and design really go hand-in-hand with each other. Especially when it comes to creating custom composites and fantasy-type digital art portraits. Not only do you need to be a great photographer who can concept and direct, you must have great design skills as well. My creative eye makes me unique and stand out from other local photographers.
Why am I in love with taking portraits? Portrait photography says so much more than any other photograph. It tells a story of us, our life, our personality. If the image is well directed, the photograph will have a strong visual impact and will leave you feeling emotions. I’m all about creating authentic images. Whether sweet or silly, happy or sad, it’s going to stir something in you every time you see it. That is what I strive to provide you.
